radio frequency transmission and reception, digital electronics and human
engineering to produce highly functional, highly reliable security products.
The company’s model offerings number in the hundreds, and range from
simple transmitter/receiver links for use in just about any application
imaginable to totally supervised RF based security systems for low, medium
and high-end applications. The Linear line of RF based products and accessories
are the most extensive in the industry.
Security products bearing the Linear name are installed residentially
and commercially throughout the United States of America and around the
world. Many of these installations occur in prominent and prestigious
facilities, further attesting to product quality and reliability.
In addition to security products, Linear uses its extensive RF expertise
in an active original equipment manufacturer (OEM) program. This design,
engineering, and manufacturing activity not only includes alarm-related
applications, but also innovative uses for remote sensing and remote control
functions outside the security industry. Spa, lighting and sprinkler control
are just a few of the applications where Linear’s RF expertise has
been used as a value added feature.
Linear products go to market on several paths. As indicated, there is
a worldwide organization of more than 300 distributors who actively stock
and sell the product. Added to this group are a select number of alarm
system installation companies and central station operators. Retail home
centers offer specific Linear security products on a private label basis
to their do-it-yourself customer base.
The company maintains its executive staff, sales, engineering, and research
and development resources in Carlsbad, California. Primary manufacturing
is performed in our China facility. Linear also maintains a complete staff
of engineering and manufacturing personnel in Hong Kong.
