of radio based transmitters and receivers for the traditional security
market. Millions of Linear transmitters have been sold over the years.
Linear security products are offered via a worldwide network of distribution.
While Linear continues to be a leading supplier of devices for the security
market, we have expanded our product lines to include focused product
lines in the Access Control, Remote Control and Garage Door Operator markets.
Security Products
Linear is recognized
as one of the leading manufacturers of RF based products for this
market. The product offerings includes transmitter and receiver
devices that interface with other manufacturers hard wire systems,
as well as a full line of RF based security systems designed for
the residential security market. Products include our Standard Digital,
DX, and DXS lines of receivers and transmitters, our DVS security
systems and the PERS line of personal emergency reporting systems.
Access Control
Our RF capabilities create a niche market for Linear in applications where radio transmitters
are used to gain access. However, our capabilities are not limited
to these applications. The breadth of the product line allows us
to provide complete systems as well as system add-on capabilities
for a wide range of access control applications including residential
access control, gated communities and complete building access systems.
Remote Control Devices
Linear is the
largest provider of these products in the domestic market. While
generally regarded as a replacement market for garage door operator
transmitters, these products are also offered by several OEM’s
(Original Equipment Manufacturer’s) providing the added value
of RF capability to many products. Our radio lines include the Delta
3, MegaCode, and Multi-Code brand names.
Garage Door Operators
Linear’s newest market. Introduced in late 2001, the Linear line of garage
door operators provides a high quality, yet economical alternative
for the professional garage door installer.
